Griffin has lived in Michigan his entire life and knows times are tough. Now more than ever, our corner of the Mitten needs a voice.
As an educator currently in Dearborn Public Schools, Griffin's experience goes beyond education, too. He can change the brakes on his family minivan, fix home HVAC, and rebuild a laptop hard drive all in a day. He believes that it's time to teach hands-on skills like these to our younger generation. Outside the classroom, Griffin spends time with family and friends at church, visiting local parks and libraries, and attending city events.
Before teaching, Griffin graduated high school with a certification in construction and technology from Oakland technical schools. He eventually landed a position as a project manager in Royal Oak, where he was able to experience the importance of small businesses to truly understand the support they need to thrive. The company served many surrounding communities which, inspired Griffin to pursue a teaching degree.
Griffin graduated magna cum laude from Oakland University (2018). He took master classes with award winning guitarists, performed with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, and toured Europe with the Oakland Chorale. These experiences gave him a clear view of the people around us.
Democratic leadership over the past 4 years created drastic growth of government, more red tape to navigate for small businesses, and limited educational opportunities with no solutions. Michigan deserves a change. Griffin has the drive and determination to get the job done.
